Hevligt Movers: Your Hassle-Free Moving Guide

Step 1 - Confirmation Call or Text (The day before):

-The client will receive a call or text the day before the move.

Movers will call the client one hour before arriving on the day of the move.

Step 2 - Check-in and Time Sheet Approval:

- Movers arrive and check in with the client.

The client signs the time sheet for approval to start the hourly rate.

Step 3 - Walkthrough and Valuables Check:

- Clients and movers will walk through the house/building to identify valuables and any damages to the furniture, appliances, and any other items.

 - During the walk-through, the client will let the movers know of any valuable items that need special handling.

Step 4 - Packing and Protection:

- Movers use moving blankets and moving bands (eco-friendly materials) to protect furniture and fragile items. We will try not to use too much shrink wrap. Shrink wrap will only be used if it's raining.

We encourage clients to carry all valuable items, like laptops, wallets, phones, etc., in their vehicles.

Step 5 - Loading the Truck:

- Movers start loading boxes into the truck first, followed by furniture and fragile items.

 - Priority on loading boxes is to save time when offloading at the new location. (but keep in mind the movers will determine the loading technique.)

Step 6 - Documentation and Follow-up:

 The client takes pictures of items loaded into the truck and notes down the truck's license plate number.

 - Client obtains the driver's number for follow-up.

Step 7 - Unloading and Placement:

- Upon arrival at the new location, the driver and movers assess the layout for unloading.

- Furniture is unloaded first, followed by boxes.

Step 8 - Assembly and Assistance:

- Movers assist in assembling furniture and other items.

 - Additional services such as TV installation are provided if needed.

Step 9 - Client Preparation for Efficiency:

- Clients are advised to have items ready and packed to avoid extra service hours.

Step 10 - After the move 

-Client and movers do a walk-through to make sure no damage is done.

-The client signs the end-time sheet.

-An invoice will be generated and emailed to the client. 

-A representative will call to get payment from the client.

-The client has 7 days to report any damages

-A client may request a free moving box pickup from us.

-A review text or call will be sent to the client 

-A unique referral code will be given to the client

Step 11 - Billing and Additional Fees:

-An hourly rate of $130/hr for 2 movers is charged, with a $75 service fee covering blankets, rubber bands, etc.

- Additional charges apply for renting boxes or using the company truck ($91 charge).

- Staircase usage is also covered in the service fee.

Hevligt Movers does not encourage movers to give clients a surprise fee.

Please keep in mind that, as the client, you will receive an estimate before your move date.

Step 12- Truck Review and Estimation:

- For larger moves, a review is conducted to estimate load requirements. ( a cube sheet will be used to determine the number of trucks needed)

Step 13 - Contractual Agreement:

- Hourly rate is charged based on the hours done during the move.

- Additional fees are applied if the agreed-upon time is exceeded.
