How to Pack Appliances Before Moving Date

Hi everyone, welcome to Hevligt Movers' moving tips! Today, we will show you how to pack your appliances, including your TV and other electronics, safely and efficiently before your move. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Gather Supplies

First, gather the necessary supplies:

- Original packaging (if available)

- Sturdy boxes

- Bubble wrap

- Packing paper

- Packing tape

- Twist ties or cable organizers

- Labels and markers

Step 2: Unplug and Clean

Unplug all appliances and allow them to cool down. Clean each appliance thoroughly to remove any dust or debris, which can scratch surfaces during the move.

Step 3: Remove and Pack Cables

Remove all cables and accessories from your appliances. Use twist ties or cable organizers to bundle cables neatly. Place them in labeled plastic bags and tape them to the corresponding appliance or pack them in a separate, clearly labeled box.

Step 4: Protect Screens and Fragile Parts

For TVs and monitors, use bubble wrap to cover the screen and other fragile parts. If you have the original box and packing materials, use those for the best protection. If not, wrap the appliance in several layers of bubble wrap and secure it with packing tape.

Step 5: Pack in Sturdy Boxes

Choose boxes that are the right size for each appliance. Fill any empty spaces in the box with packing paper or bubble wrap to prevent shifting during transit. For smaller appliances, use packing paper to wrap each item before placing it in the box.

Step 6: Label Boxes Clearly

Label each box with its contents and the room it belongs to. For delicate items like TVs and monitors, add "Fragile" and "This Side Up" labels to ensure they are handled with care.

Step 7: Secure and Seal Boxes

Seal each box securely with packing tape, reinforcing the bottom and top seams. For extra protection, use double layers of tape.

And that’s it! By following these steps, you can ensure your appliances are packed safely and securely for your move. For more moving tips and professional moving services, contact Hevligt Movers. Thanks for watching, and happy moving!
